10/10/09 Ironman World Championships, Hawaii

Martin Goodlad (Fleet Feet Triathletes) completed the Ironman World Championships at kona, Hawaii in a total time of 10:17:04 with split times of 1:01:16 for the 2.4 mile swim, 5:17:04 for the 112 mile cycle and 3:51:55 for the 26.2 mile marathon run. an excellent performance in the 30 degree temperatures and strong winds.  For more details of Martins performances check out his website at

11/10/09 Scottish Duathlon Championships

Lewis Murchie completed and excellent season with victory in the junior category at the Scottish Duathlon Championships at Stirling University. Lewis’s time of 2:13:14 for the 10 km run, 40 km cycle and 5 km run gave him victory in the junior category by 11 minutes.  Time for a break now before Winter training starts.

Scottish BAR Championships

Jonathan Copp (Sandy Wallace Cycles) has won the season long Middle Distance Best All Rounder competition based on a riders best times in 25 mile, 50 mile and 100 mile events. Jonathan times of:-
25 mile        0:51:56
50 miles       1:52:19
100 miles    3:50:14
Gave him a winning average speed of 27.218 mph.

Liz Chellingsworth (Deeside Thistle CC) finished 6th in the ladies competition with an average speed of 23.410 mph over 10 miles, 25 miles and 50 miles and Chantel Clark (Deeside Thistle CC) won the junior competition with an average speed of 21.320 mph over 2, 10 mile events and 2, 25 mile events. In addition Chantel was 2nd female junior in the British competition.
