individual Physiological Assessment (Mandatory)

Every athlete begins with a detailed physiological assessment to establish accurate training and race intensities.

Depending on location and logistics, this is delivered via:

In-Person Testing:

  • Blood lactate testing (bike and run).

  • Used to establish Aerobic Capacity (VO2 max), Anaerobic Capacity (VLamax), Lactate Thresholds and Fat max.

  • Ideal for athletes local to our performance centre or able to travel.

Remote Performance Profiling:

  • Structured Performance Profiling (PPD) protocol completed remotely.

  • Uses maximal and sub-maximal efforts to model aerobic capacity, anaerobic contribution, and substrate use.

  • Suitable for athletes training internationally or without access to in-person testing.

Whether completed in-person or remotely, this testing forms the foundation of all training, pacing, and fueling decisions throughout the programme.
